Welcome to Our School

Life is rich and varied at St. Rumon’s where our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. They are happy, friendly and they love learning. Our whole school values the contribution every child brings to each day which makes our school a happy, harmonious place to learn. Our vision is to Dream, Achieve and Inspire and this underpins all that we do in our actions and in our learning.

At St. Rumon’s learning is at our core and we champion challenge and learning within an environment where we are considerate, helpful and respectful to one another and where we live out our school values in how we work and play together. We have tailored our learning links to encourage our pupils to develop resilience, independence and to always question – we want our pupils to wonder about the world around them and form their own opinions.

St. Rumon's Infant School is a proud member of the Tavistock Church Schools Federation and is a forward thinking school with strong Christian values.  Our most recent SIAMs inspection where we achieved a 'Good' judgement noted that our school vision creates an 'harmonious and cohesive culture' where 'relationships between pupils at all levels are good'.  In July 2015 the school joined with St Christopher's Multi-Academy Trust.  To find out more about St Christopher's and other ways in which we work with schools to further the education of our pupils see the 'About us' page.
